Review:
One of the most well-known rounds, "Dona Nobis Pacem" (which translates to Grant Us Peace), has been arranged by Karen Buckwalter for 3-5 octaves of handbells and optional 2 octaves of handchimes. Although there is ambiguity as to the original composer of this 3-part round (Palestrina, Mozart, or ???), there is no argument that the three melodies intertwine into a beautiful, peaceful work.
As is often found in choral arrangements, this handbell arrangement presents the three separate melodies first and then ties them all together towards the end. The use of handchimes helps to highlight the different melodies but they are optional for presenting the composition.
