This song is dedicated in loving memory to Nancy and Fred Welfare (parents of two of my former Mosaic ringers, Rhonda Welfare and Sandy Welfare) who sang this song together for over 70 years!! It was featured in two movies:
Damn Yankees (1942) and
Christmas Holiday (1944); the play
Blithe Spirit and also featured in the TV show
