Review:
Based on a traditional Spanish carol, the wonderful melody is placed in different voices. Translated into English, the lyrics begin: "Sleep, sleep my little Jesus, May peace attend Thee, May peace attend Thee." The first and third sections are set in a minor key (g minor) with use of the LV technique, but the second section is scored in G Major and includes the echo technique. The majority of the piece is marked mezzo piano (medium soft) or piano (soft). Peaceful and flowing, it is 82 measures.
