If I Take the Wings of the Morning
The mood and music for this original work, commissioned in memory of a loved one, is based on the scripture Psalm 139:9-10 which begins: "If I take the wings of the morning, and dwell in the uttermost parts of the sea...thy right hand shall hold me." The Shaker tune "Simple Gifts" is woven into the fabric of the reflective, joyful material. 2-3 octaves of optional handchimes further enhance the overall feeling.
