Evening Light (in Bb)
"Evening Light (in Bb)" is an arrangement of the hymn tune ST CLEMENT utilizing just 8 bells between F5-F6. It may be rung with two people playing 4-in-Hand or four people in a small ensemble with 2 bells each. This arrangement highlights the lilting give and take of the melody with a quiet peace. This arrangement allows a quartet to ring with standard position assignments (spaces LH and lines RH). An alternate key version is available under the title "Evening Light" that uses bells G5-G6. Common hymn titles associated with this tune are: "O Light Whose Splendor", and "The Day Thou Gavest, Lord, Is Ended".
