Glorious Light Have Seen (Alternate Key)
"A Glorious Light Have Seen (Alternate Key)" is an 8-Bell arrangement of the hymn tune LOBT GOTT, IHR CHRISTEN utilizing bells E5-F#6. It may be rung by two people playign 4-in-Hand or four people in a small ensemble with 2 bells each. The eighth notes give this bright arrangement its festive sound. This arrangement allows a quartet to ring with standard position assignments (most spaces in the left hand and lines in the right hand). An alternate key version is available under the title "A Glorious Light Have Seen" that uses bells F5-G6. The hymn texts most commonly associated with this tune are: "The People That in Darkness Sat" (Epiphany), "Let All Together Praise Our God" (Christmas), and "O Happy Day When We Shall Stand". All notes are rung and no tables are needed.
