Savior Like a Shepherd
William Bradbury's beloved hymn tune has been arranged for 3-5 octaves of handbells and optional handchimes in a soothing, lush, and restful manner. In the introduction and interludes, a creative reflection on the title creates a bit of uncertainty – suggesting that we don't know where we're going, and we indeed need to be led. But, as the piece progresses and develops, we begin to feel secure and safe in the arms of the Great Shepherd of the Sheep. LV is used extensively, and some full, chordal shakes near the end bring the arrangement to a glorious close.
