When I Survey the Wondrous Cross
This is a flowing, harmonically rich setting of the beautiful hymn by Lowell Mason, incorporating the spiritual "He Never Said a Mumbalin' Word" for 3-5 octave handbell choir with optional handchimes. It is useful for general worship services, but it will be quite effective during the Lenten season. This majestic setting of the hymn drives toward an exciting and exalting end--a reminder to all of us of the glorious resurrection.
