Behold the Heavens
Imagine the awe and reverence felt when viewing a million twinkling stars and the expanse of the Milky Way on a dark, clear night captured in music: “Behold the Heavens.” Calm and ethereal, this piece is perfect for a meditative moment in worship, concert or festival. Set in Lydian mode with one key change, the “mystical” melody is completely supported by singing bell chords. Your audience members will hold their breath during the piece and then release a collective sigh as the last notes “sparkle” in the distance. Two score options are offered – “A” for 2 or 4 octaves and “B” for 3 or 5 octaves - to suit the number of ringers and range of bells available.
