The expansion kit includes:

• 5 KidsPlay® combination handbells/deskbells (# 4061)

• a carrying case (# 4066)

• volume 1 of the Ring By Color book for 13 note bell sets (# MRCK1301)

• a pack of 24 Achievement Certificates for colored bells (# 5297)

The 5 bells are C#/1#, D#/2#, F#/4#, G#/5#, & A#/6#. Adding sharp notes to an 8-note set opens up more musical possibilities, as many well-know songs use F# or A# in their melody lines.

[to note: color coded instruments are named using sharps (#); sharp notes raise the sound a half a tone higher than the corresponding note without a sharp but not as high as the next letter name; for example: the sound of a C# is halfway between the sound of a C and a D].

The case that comes with the expansion set will hold all 13 bells.

Volume 1 Ring By Color book for 13 note bell sets contains the songs “If You’re Happy and You Know It”, “Old McDonald Had a Farm”, “Bingo”, “Skip To My Lou”, and “Happy Birthday”.

* If you already own Ring By Color volume 1 for 8 note bell sets, please note that duplicate titles are not compatible from the 8-note book to the 13-note book. Songs from the 8-note book can still be used; just not together with the 13-note song of the same title.
