Full steam ahead! Get on board with this clever arrangement of railroad themes and spirituals. Three unique but compatible scores make this piece accessible and extremely versatile. Level 1 for 2-5 oct., Level 2 for 3-5 oct. and Split-Level 1 & 2 for 3-5 oct., plus a director score for festival/multi-choir use. Perfect for an upbeat moment in worship or concert, youth festival with multiple level groups and community group collaborations with schools. Commissioned by the Houston Chamber Ringers, Stevie Berryman’s response was, “Absolutely charming!.. This is so much more than what I expected. Level 1 for 2-5 octaves (RE38631) features two joyful railroad themes: “This Train is Bound for Glory” and “Green River Train.” Fully orchestrated to include all ringers in the fun with two short, easily learned 8th note sections. Level 2 for 3-5 octaves (RE38632) includes “This Train is Bound for Glory,” “Get On Board, Little Children” (Gospel Train) and “O, When the Saints Come Marching In.” Fully orchestrated to include all ringers in the joyful fun with fully chorded melodies and lively counter-themes. Fully compatible with all other scores. Performance notes include optional repeats that allow Choir 1 to introduce certain themes (with Choir 2 “accompaniment” in bass clef and counter melodies if desired), and then add Choir 2 to the repeated section with their own new theme.
