Mass of the Angels and Saints
The title of this work alludes to the "triumphant hymn of praise", which unites the angels of heaven and the saints of earth, together with all of creation, in ecstatic worship of the Creator. This "mass" is a collection of ritual music which should be effective in parishes with many or few musical resources and/or which uses a variety of instruments. Parts for handbells are included in eight of the acclamations. Written to be flexible in Catholic worship. Brass ensemble consists of two trumpets in B-flat, two trumpets in C, two trombones, and timpani. String ensemble consists of two violins, viola, and cello.
