The composer writes this about her setting based on PASSION CHORALE: "I have tried to portray the various human emotions Jesus might have felt as He prayed in the Garden of Gethsemane...He surely must have suffered deep sorrow, loneliness and dread....Yet through all shines the incredible love of the Divine Christ."
