Commissioned for the Mass celebrated by His Holiness Pope John Paul II in the Archdiocese of St. Louis, Missouri, January, 1999, this work includes parts for 2 to 3-octaves of bells, most in simple rhythms. Other parts include the assembly, cantor, SATB choir, and organ with optional strings, woodwinds, timpani, suspended cymbals.
