Kevin McChesney is a true handbell professional. He has composed more than 400 arrangements and original works for handbells and is in constant demand as conductor and clinician world-wide.
Kevin has a Bachelors of Music Composition and Theory from
Colorado University where he graduated with highest
honors. He works as music editor for Jeffers Handbell
Supply, Ringing Word, as well as for
STEP.
Kevin and Michael Kastner are co-founders
of STEP and have collaborated in the instructional
text Solo Ringing! Musically.
Kevin recently
revitalized his Handbell University endeavor and is
offering a quarterly newsletter called the Handbell
Classroom.
Kevin is a talented composer,
arranger, keyboardist, plays guitar, and conducts the
popular auditioned community handbell ensemble, The
Pikes Peak Ringers. Kevin lives in Colorado Springs
with his wife Tracy, a handbell enthusiast and
excellent ringer, and with their two cats.
