Kath Wissinger - composer, director, ringer, teacher, clinician - is Artistic Director of Mosaic Handbell Ensemble, director Spectrum (her church's youth handbell choir), and teacher of 4th-8th grade handbells at Redeemer Classical School for 10 years. She is an active clinician and director for local, Area and National events.
Kath is well-known for her inspiring original pieces and enjoys the challenge of making an arrangement breath new life into an old tune. She also created a series of pedagogical pieces to make classroom studies more successful. At present she has about 80 pieces published by a variety of companies. Most recent releases include "Themes from Lord of the Rings" and "Sympatico" - winner of the Area 3 2014 Composition contest.
Kath has studied composition with John Behnke and
Arnold Sherman and conducting with Bill Payn and
David Davidson. She served on the Area III Executive Board for 8 years and is currently Chair of the CHIME Loan Program. She also teaches piano in her home studio.
