"Mark Prater is Director of Music and Organist at First Presbyterian Church in Brandon, Florida. He has lived in Clearwater since 1982 and previously served Lutheran, Episcopal, and Roman Catholic churches in Pinellas County. Mark received the Bachelor of Music education degree
from the University of Memphis and has earned the
Associate and Choir Master certificates from the
American Guild of Organists. He has also served on
the board of the Clearwater Chapter of the A.G.O. as
treasurer and secretary.
As trombonist, Mark has performed with the Shreveport
Symphony Orchestra and the Shreveport Summer Music
Festival. He has many published pieces for brass
instruments, and also for handbells. Mark also
teaches several piano students."
