Review:
Opening with a statement of the Westminster Chimes, "It Is Well with My Soul" is a three-verse setting of the familiar Philip Bliss hymn. In the second verse, the melody is placed in the lower bells, and the high bells have an eighth-note descant that may be rung softly or played with mallets on suspended bells. The triumphant final verse is in full-chord style, but the piece ends softly with the optional use of mallets on suspended bells.
