Review:
This Cynthia Dobrinski setting of the hymn tune, AZMON, features a wealth of text painting on the words "O for a thousand tongues to sing my great Redeemer's praise." A variety of fresh musical ideas are employed including optional handchimes offsetting a sturdy bass melody. The introduction of 6/8 meter in the middle section creates a new mood, leading into a minor section and then building to a majestic grand finale.
