The title of this original work captures the mood and tempo perfectly. The meter shifts between 6/8 and 3/4 at a tempo marking of dotted quarter = 108. Staccatos add spice, along with the ring touch articulation, among others. The piece ends with a fortissimo martellato in measure 134.
