Review:
This book is about that first year (or semester, or whatever). There are some really great books of material, instructional 'first year' texts, and the like. But since 90% of the material is really designed for church groups, there seemed to be a lack of material for secular organizations, especially those in educational settings. This is a program of music to be used pedagogically; learn new skills in the context of real music that we could polish up and play for the masses if we chose.
