Franz Schubert's theme is arranged by Martha Lynn Thompson with care to authentically represent the original work. Though its character marking is "Slowly with expression," there's plenty of life here: syncopated accompaniment rhythms, dotted melody notes, accents in the fortissimo dynamic, and a melody set in both the upper and lower registers.
