William Ringham's elegant setting of "Shall We Gather at the River?" perfectly captures the ebb and flow of Robert Lowry's ever-popular tune and text. It begins simply then moves through more complicated textures and key changes, building in excitement. The final section returns to the calmness of the beginning material. This rendition of the familiar hymn is 40 measures and is scored in Bb Major and Gb Major.
