Review:
Winner of the 2009 Area 2 Young Ringers Composition Contest, "Groove in G" features a snappy, syncopated beat and the optional use of percussion instruments. The melody is introduced in the midrange as a single line and gradually begins to thicken. If percussion instruments are not available, ringers may click mallets together or simply snap their fingers(without gloves). An enjoyable 70 measures, this original work is scored in G Major.
