Review:
"Lyric Piece" is just that--lyrical! Flowing 16th note accompaniment supports an expressive melody in 6/8 meter at a tempo of 8th note = 120. Mallets on tabled bells punctuate the texture in the middle section for contrast. This piece was commissioned by the American Guild of Organists for the Biennial National Convention in Chicago, IL, July 2006.
