Review:
Arranger Jeffrey Honore set the Welsh hymn tune AR HYD Y NOS in honor of his father's 70th birthday. The beginning section has an interestingly minor sound. In a midsection, the optional 3 or 5 octaves of handchimes is intended to have the effect of a hymn played on a pipe organ. Echos are used in another section for even more tonal color. Honore's arrangement is 72 measures and is set in G Major and Eb Major.
