Christmas Bells Medley

Review:      "I Heard the Bells on Christmas Day" and "Carol of the Bells" are teamed up in this fresh setting of two Christmas songs about bells. "I Heard the Bells on Christmas Day" uses lots of accidentals in the harmony and melody, so it will take some work to figure out the logistics. Following that title is a dramatic key change and bridge leading to a very traditional arrangement of the Ukrainian carol, "Carol of the Bells." Voicing is different from many other arrangements, but all necessary elements of harmony and melody are joyously presented. Straight-forward and cheerful, this festive 68-measure medley is fun to play and listen to. It is scored in Bb Major and d minor.
