Review:
Incorporating both the traditional spiritual "Were You There" and the hymn "When I Survey the Wondrous Cross", this Level 3 arrangement by Arnold Sherman sheds new light on the Passion of Christ. It begins with a simple, contemplative statement of the melody and then expands, combining both tunes with fresh harmonies. A total of 73 measures, it is scored primarily in Eb Major and F Major.
