Review:
This original composition for handbells and percussion will be an exciting addition to the concert or worship repertoire. The Prologue begins with a simple melody accompanied by wind chimes, and the singing bell technique. The dance follows in a light and lively 7/8 meter, using triangle, bongos and tambourine to accentuate the rhythmic patterns. The shimmering treble melody is accompanied by a malleted bass eighth note pattern; then later, the bass bells play the fully harmonized melody under a light treble ostinato. The music fades away with the treble melody, light malleted bass and singing bell technique. This grand work is 114 measures.
