This suite of original compositions is another good choice for fledgling ringers. Brief comments at the beginning of each title indicate where the melody lies and asterisks (*) help ringers identify melodic notes buried within the chords. On the Beach contrasts full chords in the “A” sections with a melody in octaves in the middle section. "Sailing" introduces simple contrasting rhythms with a moving melodic line in the high bells over a chordal accompaniment. The easy contrasting rhythms in "Surfin'" move along at a brisk tempo. The back page contains specific teaching suggestions for each title in this Level 1 suite.
