Review:
This is the 6th collection in Martha Lynn Thompson's best-selling Ring with 6 series. Expanding the 12-bell concept, these pieces use 14-17 bells, all are hymn tune or carol settings, and all can be rung by six ringers without the use of 4-in-hand ringing. A seventh person — perhaps the director — is needed for the simple percussion part. Although the pieces stand alone without percussion, the instruments (tambourine, wood block, hand drum, triangle) add much to the nature of the pieces. Suggested assignments are provided for each piece. Titles are listed below.
