Review:
The Christmas carol "God Rest Ye Merry, Gentlemen" falls into the jazz idiom wonderfully. This arrangement, in particular, has a backdrop that's reminiscent of Dave Brubeck's "Take Five", and the melody rolls into a syncopated jazz waltz form that's quite compelling. The first verse includes chimes, the second utilizes parallel octaves, and the third should be played smoothly. This arrangement is 145 measures.
