Review:
Sub-titled “A Christmas Nocturne,” this elegant arrangement of “It Came Upon the Midnight Clear” shimmers with impressionistic harmonies, bright melody and flowing accompaniment. Other than LV, few special techniques are called for, but there are many accidentals to watch for. This 106-measure piece is an excellent choice for a Christmas Eve service. It is set in Ab Major.
