Review:
This arrangement of the tune EVENTIDE may be used for services centered on the themes of healing, hope, guidance, faith, and trust, as well as for compline, vespers, or other evening services. Handchimes may be used in the bass on the second stanza, while the treble bells are softly malleted. The optional flute part provides a Celtic-like counter-melody, which is used in the introduction, and as a descant on the final stanza. Bell changes are minimal, making this moving arrangement very accessible for worship, concert or festival use. The flute part is included. Set in Eb Major, this piece is 84 measures.
