Review:
This rhythmic 89-measure arrangement of Ary Barroso’s 1939 hit song, “Aquarela do Brasil” has been beautifully adapted for handbells and optional Latin instruments by Doug Benton. A separate percussion score is available and conductors are also encouraged to improvise using any Latin rhythmic instruments available. This is sure to be a toe-tapping, audience-pleasing work for your next concert. Note: The sound file omits a repeat. Key of D Minor, with numerous accidentals.
