Review:
“Handbell ringers are flexible!” This versatile collection of short Level 1 and 2 carols proves this point: easy, interesting carols using 14-22 bells that can be played in many configurations. The required range of 14 bells, G4-F6, allows 5, 6 or 7 ringers to play. Add more bells either above or below (and more ringers) depending on abilities and available range - up to C4-C7 (22 bells.) This simple collection is perfect for ringing “out there” at Salvation Army kettles, parade floats, home visits, Christmas tree lightings, candlelit cavern or historic home tours – and even for flash mobs – with no accidentals or page turns (some bells do need to be switched out between pieces for key changes.) This easy collection is also ideal for a quick work-up for worship or holiday programs – and even for a beginning Handbell Festival. (RE4001A Christmas Miniatures A requires a smaller range from 10-14 bells (core of D5-F6, expanding to B4-A6) with similar options and settings, though not all pieces are compatible.)
