Review:
Most ringers get to play the melody somewhere in this Christmas medley for bells and chimes. When available the 4th octave notes add richness to the bass line. In the first carol, "He Is Born" (key of F Major), which is scored for bells, the melody begins in the bass line and later moves to the upper two octaves. Chimes are preferred for the unison beginning of "Good Rest Ye Merry, Gentlemen" (key of D Minor) with bells finishing the carol. Bells are used for the exclamatory feel of "Hark! The Herald Angels Sing" (key of F Major). Any carol in this medley may be rung as a single piece by stopping at the indicated fermatas. 102 measures if rung in its entirety.
