Review:
Take 1 to 9 ringers on an “Adventure” with this spunky piece that showcases the virtuosity of 1 to 4 ringers playing a Level 2+ non-stop 8-bell 8th-note melody line (using Bell Tree, Four-in-Hand (4iH) or regular assignments) – plus an easier Level 2- accompaniment option for 1 to 5 additional ringers (or Orff, piano, harp or even Boomwhackers ᴿ!). Many options for performance are noted, including playing it with 2 ringers 4iH-ing the melody line and 2 ringers covering the accompaniment. “Adventure” is also ideal to use when your larger group is short-handed, since it covers only 2½ octaves (18 bells) and is also offered in two ranges: (F4)G4-C7 or C4-G6. This delightful piece will be well-received in concert, worship or school programs. Feel free to change the title to suit your circumstances (Strong Faith, Inspiration, A Life of Purpose, etc.) It is part of the “little gems” series from ringTrue featuring pieces for solo, duet, trio and small ensemble; “First String” series for Bell Trees; and “Split-Level” series with specific parts that are easier.
