Typical of many folk songs, this piece is light-hearted and fun to ring. Plucking is ideally placed to add emphasis and interest. It is written in G Major with medium texture and many eighth note running passages, especially in the treble clef. Only one dynamic marking of pp is placed midway through the piece.
