Review:
This versatile and very easy arrangement of the traditional German carol simply and delicately paints a picture of softly falling snow on a quiet Christmas night. It is playable as a handbell solo (bell tree or from the table), as a duet, or as a trio, and is scored for 2 or 3 octaves with piano accompaniment. The duet and trio parts have no shared bells, so all ringers may play from separate tables.
The Full Score includes the optional string parts as well as string reduction for electronic keyboard. Downloadable .mp3 accompaniment tracks are available for piano only, string ensemble only, and piano with string ensemble. 40 measures in G Major.
The solo version is included in the reproducible collection
Sacred Solos for Bell Tree, Set 3: Advent and Christmas (
