Review:
"Were You There" is a simple arrangement for unaccompanied solo handbells based on the melody of the African American spiritual "Were You There". Primarily rung with some echo and swing techniques, the effect is lyrical while stark and fitting to the hymn. There is much room for musicality and phrasing in this handbell solo. Uses Bb4 to Eb6. 34 measures in the key of Eb Major.
