Review:
"Passacaglia" employs the C Major scale, in a style reminiscent of Pachelbel's "Canon in D", to introduce handbell and handchime ringers to several different handbell techniques. There are no bell changes within the work, allowing ringers to concentrate on moving musically from one technique to the next. This composition fits nicely in a church or school setting. Easy to learn and fun to play, it is a fitting piece for teaching the art of handbell ringing.
