Review:
Mysterious and lush, this showcase Bell Tree Solo is a stunning addition to Advent services and Holiday concerts. A short (24 measure) introduction using suspended mallet rolls on bells supports an ethereal Bell Tree line, which then merges into the full-length showcase Bell Tree Solo (C5-C7; 21 bells, commissioned by Sueda Lutrell) that coordinates beautifully with Lorenz’s published piece MLC201399L (You will need to purchase this score as well for performance.) The Solo line can also be played by an adept ringing duet, trio or small ensemble. These first 24 measures alone are also available in a shorter folio (RE853312R) playable by Bell Tree and Ensemble – or by 3-5 oct. Ensemble. This short piece can stand on its own as a mood-setting prelude for worship, or it can seamlessly lead into another piece in f minor. A stunning presentation either way that will add a feeling of awe to your Advent services. Details on the Bell Tree Showcase Solo (RELC201399LR) in entirety with intro verse and entire collaborative score: Keys of f minor & g minor; 73 measures; 5:05 performance time; Reproducible. Part of the First String and little gems Series from ringTrue.
