Review:
Tchaikovsky's famous Nutcracker ballet premiered in 1892 and has become a staple of ballet companies at Christmastime. Scene 10, "The Magic Castle", is from the start of Act II and prepares for the arrival of Clara and the prince before the presentation of the dances of the various sweets. This arrangement uses optional handchimes and multiple handbell techniques to capture the lush orchestration of the original.
