Review:
Sandra Eithun’s masterful setting of VENI EMMANUEL is a perfect choice for the advanced ensemble looking to highlight their expressive playing. An opening replete with haunting harmonies and delicate scoring gives way to an upbeat, almost dance-like setting of the tune accompanied by an
optional tambourine, before returning to a more emotional and expressive feeling once more. A dramatic tour-de-force that’s not to be missed!
Note: A non-reproducible part for chime tree and tambourine is printed at the end of the handbell music; please purchase additional copies for your percussionists.
