Review:
An ethereal opening featuring randomly malleted suspended bells gives way to a setting of the well-known tune underscored by flowing sixteenth notes. Unexpected harmonies appear prominently throughout the piece, and textural changes on various inflection points of the piece provide a respite from the relentless accompaniment figures. The melody moves throughout the ensemble, giving all parts a chance to shine. A fantastic choice for the ensemble looking for something different this holiday season!
