Linda has set it to a storyline beginning with a jaunty and optimistic feel reflecting the Colonies first declaring their independence from King George III's England.
Melody is rung in the bells and then featured in the handchimes while a counter-melody with a jaunty feel is TD in the treble. Echoes are called for as the mood turns dismal and cold with the tune played in A-minor as winter sets in at Valley Forge – but determination carries the troops through to the turning point: the Battle of Saratoga!
