Derek was inspired by this beautiful passage from Psalms 16:11: "You make known to me the path of life; you will fill me with joy in your presence, with eternal pleasures at your right hand."
This original work is filled with joy from beginning to end. The engaging melody will be remembered long after the music has ended and Derek has kept it ever present throughout. It includes a variety of techniques such as Pl, TD, RT, LV, and table malleting. A key change features a tender passage rung by handchimes which leads into a lovely segue back to bells and a short section filled with nuance before another key change back to F-major and an unexpected malleted section interspersed with mallet clicks! The main melody and uplifting theme return, leading to a joyous and glorious ending! This is bound to become a favorite in your group’s repertoire!
