Review:
Here is a refreshing reimagined setting of the hymn tune NETTLETON for intermediate to advanced handbell ensembles. Sondra Tucker skillfully uses tuplets within a 9/8 time signature to weave a musical story with a sense of longing, then a feeling of optimistic fulfillment. The piece sparkles when the optional handchimes are used. Plucks and malletting on the table provide a stirring accompaniment to the beautiful melody of this venerable hymn tune.
