Review:
This beautiful, expressive, and sensitive work was inspired by the New
Testament passage John 2:11: This miraculous sign at Cana in Galilee was the first time Jesus revealed his glory. And his disciples believed in him. Hart began with a lovely, engaging melody and developed it into a wonderful work that reflects the love that is sure to have been shared at the marriage at Cana, the scene of Christ's first miracle!
It begins with an ethereal mix of gentle bar chimes, singing bell, and handchimes which underlay the gentle random ringing of specific notes in the bells. This then segues into the lyrical melody supported by a gentle, flowing LV accompaniment. Handchimes are featured in a lovely minor setting, followed by very expressive sections leading to the return of the beautiful main theme. It grows to a glorious climax and then gradually diminishes into a beautiful, peaceful ending. This is definitely a work you will want to add to your group's repertoire.
